Running running running....

Hello and welcome back world! I have been absent from this blog for a while. It seems to be enough to update Facebook every now and then with a "Hey, I'm really tired." or "My kids are so cute", but once in a while I think I need to sit dow and refresh the old blog.
First and foremost I would ask you all to notice the "Etsy" button at the top right of the page. If you click it it should take you straight to David's new Etsy shop, the Wooden Legg. As of now there is only a lonely quilting frame gracing the "shop", but it is soon to be joined by more so keep your eyes out :)

Other than woodworking, we have been a very busy family this past month. David has taken his Acuplacement tests for Weber State & is hoping to start school in January. I'm so proud, he does so much to provide for his family ♥♥♥
Just this morning I finished a month long externship with Ogden Clinic. It is the closest thing I ever have had to a full-time job and I've gotta hand it to all the moms out there who work full-time outside the home then go home to the other full-time job of being a mother. I am exhausted! But I really enjoyed it, so I am feeling like this career choice was probably a good one. Now it's on to the job search!

Bryar is doing well, as always. She is smart, and is learning new things everyday. She is very curious, as any 2 year old is, and is constantly talking and asking questions. She had a lot of fun on Halloween, she was a leopard and got really into playing the part of a cat (will post pics as soon as I have them!).
Rowynn was a flower on Halloween, and she wasn't very impressed with the whole affair. But she looked cute anyhow. She has done a lot of growing lately, she has 2 teeth now and they are SHARP! She has been crawling for a while and is now trying to learn to stand. We are also trying to get her to sleep in her crib on her own, some nights she goes down and other nights we all get to stay up listening to her cry... But she is still super cute and I love her craziness.

As the holidays approach I am sure we will be getting even busier, but I hope I will remember to come back and update this thing every once in a while.

Oh, RoLo....

Well, here we are in October. All the stores are already dressing up for Christmas, I see. Makes me wonder how we got here so fast...
Anyhow, things here are good. We are enjoying the cooler fall weather; today the girls and I laid out on the grass after our walk and watched the clouds go by.
Rowynn has been so fussy lately, she refuses to be put down. It makes me (and everyone else) tired so it was nice to see her happy outside for a while...
Of course, Bryar was having more fun making faces than watching clouds.

When I got home last Saturday David had a surprise for Bryar. Yep, it's another cat. But she is a most adorable little kitten. Feisty, too.

David, Bryar, and I LOVE pizza. Like we eat it twice a week. So we decided to make our own. And it was beautiful!

I interviewed for an externship spot last week at Ogden Clinic and I got it! Yay me!!! Hopefully I will start that next week, seeing as it will take four weeks to finish it...

September, September...

I feel like I have been very busy, but I couldn't tell you what I have been doing. Right now I am in my last week of my last class at school. WHOO HOO! Then next month I will be doing my externship then hopefully I will be able to find a good job so I can use this education (and pay for it!). David always said when I graduated he would get me a new car, and lo and behold there is a new car in my driveway right now! It is a brand new Kia Sportage and I LOVE it so very much. It gets so much better gas milage than the old Chrysler, and I am not afraid of it falling apart on me. Because even if it does it's under warranty for the next five years!
On to more interesting subjects...
I know I always talk about how much Bryar is learning and how she is growing, but I am constantly amazed with her! The last couple weeks she has been very focused on learning colors. She is getting quite good, she know most of them and I think her favorite is yellow. This morning when we went out for our walk she said "Oh Honey look at the blue flower!".

Yes indeed it was a very pretty, very blue Morning Glory. Aunt Jan gave me some seeds for Mothers Day and I was afraid I planted them too late, but they started blooming yesterday. They even went through the fence so now our neighbor can enjoy them as well.
Rowynn.... She is just cute! I took the girls to their well child visits last week and she weighed like
14.6 lbs! And she is trying so very hard to crawl right now...

Just cute, that is all I have to say about that!
David is working hard, as always. And he has another side project in the works. Quilting frames! He is trying to sell them on KSL for a little side money (there are some new tools he has his eyes on). The first one went to his Nana, of course, as a birthday gift.

So here is where I will leave you until next time. I hear a baby that just woke up from her nap...

Here kitty kitty kitty...

This is Tinkerbelle.
She is a 9 month old kitty who needed a new home when her owners allergies became too much to bear.
I found her on KSL along with a list of "benefits".
Declawed
Spayed
Immunized
Used to children
She came with all the fixings, litter box, litter, food, dishes.
And she was FREE!

She has quite the attitude.
She is very playful.
And Bryar LOVES her.
A lot.
Maybe too much?
Anyways, welcome to the family, Tinkerbelle!

End of Summer Already?

Really? Summer is already over? Where did it go? The kids are already back in school! I have a little sister in 1st grade, one in 4th, one in 7th, one in 10th, one in 12th, a brother in 2nd and a BIL in 10th! Holy cow pies I feel oldish....
Well, we here at the Bahns house have been trying to make the most of the warm weather. Like sleeping in your underwear...
We have been so busy with work and school and all that so we have not really gone anywhere. Just hanging around here...
Bryar is getting to be so grown-up. She trys to be a big help and she makes a good big sister.
Rowynn just keeps growing. She is a pretty happy baby, she just REALLY prefers to be held. And she loves Bryar so much, she always has a big smile for her sister...
But she doesn't like that carseat!
AND she sucks her thumb to put herself to sleep. Aawww....

Flowers in my Garden

Now, we only have a relatively small space outside our backdoor with a porch and a little dirt patch that I can do whatever I want with. So, of course, I planted a bunch of flowers in the dirt patch and have three big planters on the porch. When the pansies I planted in the Spring finally gave up I went to Lowes and found some Petunias, and some on clearance at Wal-Mart that looked half dead. But I brought them home, pruned them a little, gave them some food and water and they are getting HUGE!! And I must say, I LOVE the way Petunias smell...
I also have this bright pink Geranium that my Great Grandma Bunot gave me for Mother's Day...
And this variety of Dahlia I found at Wal-Mart kinda reminds me of a lion...
And these are Salvia, I think... Whatever they are we just really like the bright red, and they have bloomed all summer.
Next year I hope to plant the front flower bed, also. I just really like the way it feels to come home and see my little space overflowing with all these pretty things...

Rowynn's Photo Shoot

Really, I was just bored and she looked adorable, so I grabbed the camera and snapped a few pics! The cute little outfit she got from Nana Carolyn.
